He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Louis and Julie Brown Scott; his son Christopher James Scott; and his stepson Paul Douglas Tomczek. He is survived by: his wife Patricia W. Grant Scott of Roanoke; his stepdaughters, Deborah Jordan and Carolyn Barth; his son Robert Scott of Roanoke; and his sister Sue Perry (Bobby) of Roanoke. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
