He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Thomas and Lou Brooks Brown; his stepmother Lucille Brown; his wife Kay Bonner Brown; and his siblings, John Thomas Brown, Jesse Milford Brown, Reatha Richardson, Jimmie Ruth Bonner and Rosalyn Richardson.

He is survived by: his daughter Louellen Brown Gurley of LaGrange, GA; and his granddaughter Catherine Ellen Gurley of Birmingham, AL..

Memorial may be floral or donations may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church Renovation Fund at P.O. Box 705, Roanoke, AL 36274.
