She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Howard Brand and Exa Berlene Hallman Brand; her husband Gerald Mathews; and her sister Jackie Campbell. She is survived by: her children, Carolyn M. Hensleigh (David) of Ashland and Anthony Mathews (Rebecca) of Ashland; her granddaughters, Katelyn Smith (Nathan) of Auburn and Jillian Hensleigh (Adam Farrow) of Auburn; her great grandchild Riley Smith of Auburn; and her siblings, Bobbie Robertson (Donald) of Montgomery, Pat Allen (Jimmy) of Ashland, Emma Tinney (Ledford) of Ashland, Hazel Hess (Bruce) of Cartersville, GA, Deborah Champion of Ashland and Rayford Brand (Margaret) of Ashland. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and extended family.

Flowers are accepted; however, the family request donations to be made to Barfield Baptist Church.
