She was predeceased by: her parents, James Barner and Artie Lou Brown Fincher; her husband John Dudley Smith; her siblings, Voncile Cummings, Barbara Blackmon and Donnie Fincher; and her grandchild Tennille Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Smith Nunnally of Roanoke, Johnny Dudley Smith (Ann) of Roanoke and Ronnie Smith (Sharon) of Roanoke; and her sisters, Linda Thomas of Roanoke and Norma Farrar of Roanoke. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
