He was predeceased by: his sisters, Dot Hester and Rosella Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Clara Gay of Roanoke; and his children, Belinda McManus (Darrell) of Wedowee, Cindy Arrington of Woodland, Phillip Wayne Gay of Woodland and Tim Gay (Barbie) of Roanoke. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
