She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Edmondson and Mary Will Crenshaw Edmondson; and her brother Wendell Edmondson. She is survived by: her husband John T. Brown of Roanoke; her children, Patricia Truitt of Roanoke, Keith Brown of Pittsboro, NC and Mark Brown (Benita) of Roanoke; her grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Brandon Truitt and Emily Jackson; and her siblings, Kathryn Stapp of Marysville, TN, Judy Campbell of Woodland and Roger Edmondson of Decatur, GA.. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
