He is survived by: his wife Hazel Pinkard Smith of Roanoke; his daughters, Janet Lynn Smith Jones of Mebane, NC and Joy Elaine Smith Morgan of Roanoke; and his brother Arnold Smith (Marie) of Roanoke. He is also survived by four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
