He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Zeak and Clara Mae White Conger; and his siblings, Glenda Reaves, Bill Conger and Garry Conger.

He is survived by: his wife Loretta Conger of Roanoke; his son Joey Conger (Michele) of White Plains, AL; and his siblings, Brenda Holmes (Bill) of Opelika, AL, Era Bowden (Cleve) of Phenix City, AL, Glen Conger of Carrollton, GA, Dwight Conger (Reba) of Roanoke and Larry Conger (Kim) of Roanoke. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
