She was predeceased by: her parents, James R. Poore and Gladys Davidson; her husband Jack Hurst; her brother-in-law Jackie Whaley; her brother James; and her sister-in-law Peggy Hurst.
She is survived by: her son Lon Hurst (Catherine) of Roanoke; her grandsons, Elijah Hurst and Samuel Hurst; her stepchildren, Wayne Hurst (Donna) of Opelika and Jan Combs (Ken) of Shelby, NC; her sister Barbara Whaley of Wedowee; her nieces, Vickie Parker (Blair) and Angie Hill (Wayne); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Katie Hill, Kellum Ann Parker, Andrew Hill and Nathan Parker (Ashley).
