She was predeceased by: her parents, Brince Noles and Seba Dell Nation Noles; her husband James Carie Veal; her granddaughter Kaycee Gilmore; and her sister Gwen Stewart.

She is survived by: her sons, Virgil Veal (Alice) of Roanoke and Mike Veal (Roxie) of LaGrange, GA; and her sisters, Cutine Waugh of Tallahassee, FL and Linda Phillips (Joel) of Franklin, GA.. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
