He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. Dunlap and Margarett Pike Dunlap; his sister-in-law Rhonda (Dennis Finley); his mother-in-law Marie (Ray Nix); and his nephew Benjamin Dunlap.
He is survived by: his wife Trudy Sanders Dunlap of Roanoke; his daughters, Hannah Exum (Trey) and Haley Dunlap; his grandchildren, Wyatt and Waugh Exum; his child Cory Peavy (Kayla); his grandchildren, Evelyn and J. L. Peavy; his siblings, Jean White (Gene) of Roanoke, Donnie Dunlap (Diane), Randy Dunlap (Janet) and Marty Dunlap (Sandra); his parents-in-law, Johnny Sanders and Joyce Sanders; and his brothers-in-law, Rusty Sanders and Gary Taylor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
