He is survived by: his wife Linda Patterson of Roanoke; his daughters, Kelli Hendon (John) and Jill Hicks (Neil); his grandchildren, Kate Hendon and Will Hicks; his brother Johnny Patterson (Linda) of Mellow Valley; his close friend Rose; and his mother Mary Roland Patterson of Roanoke.
