It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donnie Wayne Newton of Rogersville, Alabama, who passed away on December 11, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Newton and Lorene Newton; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Hill. He is survived by: his wife Nelda Newton; his son Jonathan Newton (Traci); his grandson Mason Newton; his sister Frances Hill; his brother-in-law Jimmy Romine (Glenda); and his sibling's children, Bryan Hill (Amy), Brent Romine (Laura), Denise Olive (Jimmy) and Stephanie Romine. He is also survived by several great nephews and nieces, and a great-great nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by donations to the Elgin Senior Center or Elgin Volunteer Fire Department.
