She was predeceased by : her parents, Rosie Hendrix and Markus Hendrix; and her husband James "J. W.". She is survived by : her children, Teresa Butler and Mark Guthrie (Kathy); her grandchildren, Harley Clemons (B. J.), Jessica Guthrie and Coriann Guthrie; and her great grandchildren, Tucker Clemons and Harper Clemons. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
