He was predeceased by: his father Alfred Steakley; and his siblings, Danny Steakley and Donna Steakley. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Thigpen Steakley; his children, Dale Steakley (Kanamu Kanekoa, Jr.), Amanda Steakley, Larry Steakley, Amber Steelman (Jay) and Taylor Thigpen (Danielle); his mother Violet Steakley; his grandsons, Cameron Steelman and Charlie; and his siblings, Kevin Steakley (Mary), Kim Steakley (Donna) and Linda Turner (Jeff).
