He is survived by : his wife Martha Smolter of Rogersville, Alabama; his children, Russell "Rusty" Lee Smolter, Jr. (Chrystal "Christy") of Rogersville, William Smolter (Kimberly) of Knoxville, Tennessee and Margaret "Meg" Fincher (Brian) of Anderson, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Andrew Smolter (Nicole), Ashley Allen (Jonathan), Brittney Yarbrough (Eric), Tatum Elwood (Tanner), Alexandria Downey, Camden Smolter, Delaney Smolter, Elizabeth Fincher and Maddison Fincher. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
