He was predeceased by : his parents, Bill Yarbrough and Jewel Yarbrough; and his siblings, Fay Collins and Gary Yarbrough. He is survived by : his wife Sarah Yarbrough; his son James Yarbrough (Jim); his siblings, Bob Yarbrough (Suzanne) of Titusville, FL, Wayne Yarbrough (Donna) of Boaz and Delores Bartlett of Boaz; and his caregiver Vicky Haygood.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Etowah Memorial Chapel (12600 US-431, Sardis City, AL 35956). A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or, Sardis Baptist Church Food Pantry.
