She was predeceased by: her husband Bill Swafford; her parents, Ethel Maye and John Steeley; her children, Billy Wayne Swafford and Delores Ann Swafford; her grandchildren, Shakira Dawn Guthrie and Tommy Guthrie II; her great grandchild Tommy Guthrie III; and her siblings, J. W. Steeley, Carolyn Wilson of Scottsboro, Alabama. and Shirley Guthrie of Scottsboro, Alabama..
She is survived by: her grandson Chris Payne of Scottsboro; her great grandchildren, Christian Reshaun Payne of Dutton, Timothy Gavin Payne of Hammondville and Blake Guthrie of Valley Head; her great great grandchild Copeland Payne of Dutton; and her niece Penny Wright of Scottsboro. She is also survived by several nieces nephews.
