He is survived by: his wife Frances "Fran" Porch; his son Derek; his daughter-in-law Desiree Porch; his daughter Andrea; his son-in-law Mike Herbert; his grandchildren, Mason Sharp, Will Porch, Gabi Herbert and Matthew Herbert; his brother Bobby; and his sister-in-law Cloie Porch.

The family wishes in Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital or the Scottsboro First Baptist Church.
