It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Dwight Mitchell (Scottsboro, Alabama), who passed away on August 25, 2019, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Frank and Ovell Mitchell; his siblings, Carol Morris and Michael Wade Mitchell; and his nephew Will Hunter Bellomy.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Mitchell; his daughter Shawna Wood; his son-in-law Keith Wood; his grandsons, Carson and Maddox; and his siblings, Rita Kiker (David), June Willis, Becky Metcalf, Wanda Mitchell Bellomy, Sandra Corbitt (Lawrence), Harold Mitchell and Chris Mitchell.
