It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margery Rives Lindsey (Selma, Alabama), who passed away on May 9, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas James Rives and Margery Naomi Berry Rives; her husband L. William Lindsey; her grandsons, Luke Rives Trivitayakhun and John Franklin Potter; her grandparents, Clara Ouillet Lapointe Rives and James Boykin Rives; her siblings, Betty Rives Winters (Phillip), Barbara Rives Hardy (Mabry), Claire Rives Bowman (Floyd), Martha Rives Johnson (Henry) and Buddy Rives; and her brothers-in-law, Alex Easters and Pete Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Tonya Shaw (George), Vinette Trivitayakhun (Jimmy) and Dr. Mark Lindsey (Kathy); her grandchildren, Rachel Kroenung (Zach), Lauren Wheeler (Spencer), Maddie Trivitayakhun and Dr. Thomas Lindsey; her great grandchildren, Neil Trivitayakhun, Tristan Trivitayakhun, Spencer Wheeler, III, Reid Wheeler, Jude Kroenung, Elliott Kroenung and Myla Kroenung; and her sisters, Elizabeth "Scarlet" Easters and Theus Davis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Wesley Gardens, her beloved home in her last days.
