He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl D. Carswell and Bessie H. Carswell; his children, Jeremy Carswell and Adrienne S. Tatum; his grandson Brandon Clark; his brothers, Timothy Carswell, Bruce Carswell, Mike Carswell and John Carswell; and his siblings' children, Rebekkah Carswell, Steven Carswell and Jonathan Carswell.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy D. Carswell; his children, Ryan Carswell, Wendy Ingram (Mark), Kristi Bohannon, Albert Bohannon (Tammy) and Robert Bohannon (Brittany); his siblings, Terry Carswell (Mary-Lee), Earldeen Carswell Kimbril and James Carswell (Brenda); and his sister-in-law Rene Carswell. He is also survived by twenty three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home, Inc. (2900 Citizens Pkwy, Selma, AL 36701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the New Live Oak Cemetery (110 W Dallas Ave, Selma, AL 36701).
