He was predeceased by: his siblings, Henry McDaniel, Jimmy McDaniel, David McDaniel, Nellie Pruett, Rose Stewart, Jennie Mae Parker and Helen McDaniel.

He is survived by: his spouse Patricia McSwain McDaniel (Pat); his brothers, Ferman McDaniel of Wedowe, AL and Gene McDaniel (Judy) of Rocky Mount; and his sister-in-law Norma McDaniel of Shelby.
