He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sam Knowles and Adelaide Knowles; his son Charles Douglas Knowles; his brother Lewis Raymond Knowles; his wife Carolyn Barton Knowles; his daughters, Melissa K. Nannini (Alan) and Amy Jo Roberts (Lindsey); his stepson Joe Davidson; his grandchildren, Joseph, Margaret Davidson, Laura Barlow (Kevin) and Anna Nannini; and his great grandchild Louis Barlow.
