Peggy Swords Simmons Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Swords Simmons of Slocomb, Alabama, who passed away on March 4, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Luna and Mamie Frances McKnight Swords; and her sister Linda Gordon. She is survived by: her children, Penny Spradlen, Lisa Boykin and Dennis McGowan; and her siblings, Herbert Swords (Gail) of Blakley, GA, Margie Murkerson (Ludon) of Dothan, AL, Wayne Swords (Bonnie) of Columbia, AL and Tony Swords (Charlotte) of Natchitoches, LA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Mrs. Simmons's memory.
