With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Theresa Lassiter (Slocomb, Alabama), born in Geneva, Alabama, who passed away on February 20, 2021 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by : her parents, Coley Smith and Claudie Burns Smith; and her brothers, Duncan Smith, David M. Smith and Jim E. Smith.

She is survived by : her husband Johny Lassiter; her children, Susan Mills (Cullen), Tony Collins (Gary) and Lamar Collins (Pam); her step-children, Sandy Canevari (Angelo) and Dwayne Lassiter (Melanie); and her sister Wanda Shipes. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 24th 2021 at 11:00 AM at the New Hinson Baptist Church (1143 Co Rd 48, Slocomb, AL 36375).
