He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Thompson and Verrell Thompson (Brooks); his grandparents, Lillard and Elsie Brooks; and his sisters, Sarah Kirby Maddox and Carolyn Kirby Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Willie Mae Thompson (Woods); his children, Michelle Duckett (Mark), Jerome Thompson and Jeremy Thompson (Michele); his grandchildren, Alisha Roeder (Matt), Bradley McMillen (Devin), Zack Smith (Amanda), Josh Thompson, Chandler Thompson, Xander Laughlin, Brooklynn Thompson, Haley Thompson, Ross Thompson (Sydney), Landen Thompson and Jaylen Thompson; his great grandchildren, Eli Roeder, Tucker McMillen, Ida Mae Smith, Braylee Thompson, Mia Sparks and Mason Sparks; and his brother James 'Tommy Thompson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
