She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Fretwell and Lois Nichols Fretwell; her husband Gerald Lee Hale; her daughter Alison Leah Hale; and her siblings, John Fretwell, Bill Fretwell and Mary Ruth Majors.
She is survived by: her children, Ashley Hale Plummer (Barry), Alicia Hale Smitherman (Paul) and Richard Brian Hale; her sisters, Shirley Hill (Thomas), Nettie Mayatt (Gary) and Margaret Renfroe (Wayne); and her grandchildren, Haley Nichole Smitherman, Dawson Boyd Hale, Dayton Lee Hale, Madilyn Ann Plummer, Amy Lee Smitherman, Margaret Claire Plummer and Marie Cassidy Plummer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marion United Methodist Church.
