We are sad to announce that on August 8, 2020, at the age of 96, Marvelene Porter Taylor of Spruce Pine, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James "Jim" Taylor; her son Jimmy Ford Taylor; her grandson Paul Andrew Taylor; her parents, Wesley Porter and Emma Porter (Entrekin); and her siblings, Mattie Pounders, Vivian Kish, Hazel Bragwell, Ruby Enlow, Lorene Fuller, Eudra Porter, Curtis Porter, Mary Oniece McKinney and Burnice White.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Nichols and Glynn Paul Taylor (Janice); her daughter-in-law Glenda Taylor; and her grandchildren, Lee Nichols, Olania Ann Mitchell (Byron), Angelia Taylor, LaDonna Taylor, Emily Taylor and Kevin Taylor (Jessica). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces & nephews.
Her worst fear was realized when COVID-19 struck her down and she wasn't allowed to have family with her during her illness and death.
