It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Louise Gates Criswell (Thomasville, Alabama), born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harrison Gates and Ruth Gates; her daughters, Gwendolyn Newton, Vonda Overton and Tanya Vick; her brothers, Frank Gates and James Gates; and her husband James William Criswell. She was also cherished by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
