We are sad to announce that on August 14, 2020, at the age of 90, Martell Pope (Thomasville, Alabama), born in Morvin, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bass and Lillie Norman Pope; his wife Voncille Pope; his son Shelton Pope; and his siblings, Lester Pope (Luck), Robert Bass Pope and Margaret Elizabeth Pope.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deneen Hawk (Jerry) and Vanessa Phillips (Rocky); his sister Georgie Ann Shepard (Tommie) of Sweet Water, AL; his grandchildren, Clint Pope, Rob Pope, Cody Pope, William Phillips (Katie), Justin Phillips (Kayla) and Nikki Hawk; and his great grandchildren, Lincoln Phillips, Titus Phillips, Hunter Pope, Kamden Phillips and Brookleigh Phillips.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bashi United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund in care of Sandra Mott, 8718 Bashi Road, Thomasville, AL 36784.
