He was predeceased by: his parents, C. E. Smith (Genie) and Mary Smith; and his wife Gail Smith. He is survived by: his former wife Ellen Gail Cross; his children, Hale (Lynn), Michael (Samantha), Staci Jordan (Danny) and Robbie (Mallory); his grandchildren, Chloe, Cecilia, Payne, Ness, Rose Mary, Buck, Carter, Ellen and Collin; and his brother Lynwood Smith.
