He is survived by: his parents, Arthur William and Dottie Godwin; his wife Margaret Armistead Godwin of Thomasville, AL; his children, Billy Godwin of Dothan, AL, Mike Godwin of Thomasville, AL, Rusty Godwin (Ginger) of Gallion, AL and Felicia Godwin Smith (Les) of Albion, IL; and his sister Linnie Earle Godwin Wright of Levern, AL. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
