She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Hamilton and Esther Blackman Hamilton; her children, John Wayne Pitts, Jr. and Tammy Sue Stewart; her siblings, O. D. Hamilton, Donnie Hamilton, Carolyn Cole and Bertha Grant; and her grandson Johnathan Campbell.
She is survived by : her niece Nancy Murphree; her daughter-in-law Angie Pitts; her brother-in-law Harold "Curly" Cole; and her grandchildren, Betty Nicole "Nicki" Pitts, Summer Brewer, Paige Davis, Brittany Dover, Kasi Callahan and Justin Pitts. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
