With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Don Avant (Troy, Alabama), who passed away on April 5, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Knowles Avant and Maulene Avant. He is survived by: his wife Martha Floyd Avant; his sons, Greg Avant (Mendy) and Chris Avant (Susan); his grandchildren, Chase Avant (Spencer), Chandler Avant, Hastings Avant and Sarah Jessie Avant; his great grandchildren, Nash and Greer Avant; his brothers, Murray Avant (Ruth) and Jackie Avant; and his friend Jimmy LeCroy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
