With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jessie Mae Pittman of Troy, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 7, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Junior Pittman; her son Derry Pittman; her grandson Joseph Capps (Bobo); her sons-in-law, Rev. Joseph R. Capps and Joe E. Stephens; and her parents, Louis B. Coffield (Lessie Jordan Coffield) and Jessie Coffield Pittman.
She is survived by: her daughter Darlene Capps Stephens; her granddaughter Delany Capps Brooks; her great grandchild Gabbi Capps; her grandsons, Josh Pittman (Lisa) and Jeremy Pittman (Heather); her great grandchildren, Tanner Pittman and Josie Pittman; her grandson Lindsey Brooks; and also June Allen.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Zebulon Baptist Church (6892 AL-223, Troy, AL 36081). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
