She was predeceased by: her son David Vaughan (Debbie); her brothers, Tim, Bryce and Byrd Isom; and her parents, Linda Norman Isom and Charles Isom.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Vaughan (Tammy) and Linda Lee Swatzell (Michael); and her sister Claudette.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Courtland City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Merle would have appreciated donations to Mercy Chefs, an organization close to her heart that embodies her love for feeding people and supporting those in need.
