He is survived by: his daughter Wendy Gail McAteer Lynn; his son-in-law Jack Bradford Lynn; his grandchildren, William Bradford Lynn and Sarah Lynn Hammond (Logan); his great grandchildren, Jack Fisher, Samuel Charles, Ford Logan, Andrew William, Henry Robert Hammond and Cavan Bradford Felton; his former wife Margaret Ann Childs; his stepdaughters, Marye Anna Elliott Murray and Melony Elliott Smithson (Jeff); and his stepgrandchildren, Mike Gray, Kyle Smithson (Mallory), Caroline Smithson Crawford (Grayson), Sam Kelley (Allison) and Ben Kelley.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Taylorville Baptist Church (7201 Moundville Ln, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
