He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Braswell Bruce and William Harry Bruce, Sr.; and his brother Larry R. Bruce. He is survived by: his sister Barbara B. Sullivan; his brother-in-law Mickey Sullivan of Enterprise, Ala; and his brother William H. Bruce, Jr. of Dothan, Ala.
