She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmitt Lee and Martha Lee; her husband Arthur T. Tennyson, Sr.; her daughter Gayla Garrison; her grandchildren, Gaylan Tennyson and Jennifer Elmore; and her friend Mary Elmore.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Stone (Larry), Deanna Tennyson, Teal Tennyson and Van Tennyson (Patricia); and her siblings, Sue Shadix, Lataine Layne, Joy Franklin (Hershel), Katrine Adams (Mike) and Lamar Lee (Brenda). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
