She was predeceased by : her husband Jay Ricks; her parents, Benjamin Marshall Harris and Addie Green Harris; her in-laws, J. R. and Ina Ricks; her siblings, John Harris, C. V. Harris, Annie Lou Harris, Adelle Wheat, Lois Harris and Daisy Hogue; her siblings-in-law, William Hogue, E. T. Wheat, Doris Appling, Jorene Scott and Louise Wheat; and her nephew Billy Hogue.
She is survived by : her children, John, Jan Ricks and Gary McQuaig; her grandchildren, Jayse, Ashley McQuaig and Marly McQuaig; her great grandchild James Jay McQuaig (J. J.); her nieces and nephews, John Hogue (Peggy), Ken Hogue (Regina), Mike Harris (Lynn), Charlie Harris (Jane), Pat Harris (Susan), Evelyn Davidson (Bob), Kay Fransioli (Charles), Joy Nickoles (Ricky) and Penny Ricks; and her sister-in-law Ruth Ricks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa Second Hand Rose Ministry or Hospice of West Alabama.
