She was predeceased by : her husband Clarence W. McCray; her daughter Shurra Watkins; her son-in-law Jerry Watkins; her parents, Dewey Deason and Nola Deason; her granddaughter-in-law Teresa Watkins; her great great grandchild Rorie Jo McGill; and her siblings, Lou Sherbert, Sylvia Eady (Tibby), Oral and Harold Deason.
She is survived by : her daughter Bonnie Barnett (Eber); her grandchildren, Marisa Booth (Chris), Mike Wilkins (Karen), Neilson Barnett (Melissa), Chris Watkins and Stephen Barnett (Madeline); her great grandchildren, Chelsea Farley (Patrick), Will Booth (Macey), Kayla McGill (Phillip), Hunter Wilkins, Ashton Watkins, Camden Barnett, Linden Barnett, Dekker Barnett and Collin Barnett; her stepgreat-grandson Gavin Nicols; and her great great grandchildren, Aiden Booth and Stella Farley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home- Tuscaloosa (6100 Old Greensboro Rd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama, St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, or Helping Hands Ministry of Taylorville Baptist Church.
