He was predeceased by: his parents, Campbell Columbus Holmes and Florence Warren Holmes; and his siblings, Jimmy Holmes, Fred Holmes, Gene Holmes and Betty Becco.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Lynn Holmes; his children, Kimberly Farmer, Kelly Hummel Sellers (Brad), Vickie Leigh Holmes Hicks, Julie Elizabeth Webb and Darrell Laws; his brother Lewis Holmes; and his grandchildren, Jolie Johnson, Jayla Johnson, Paisly Sellers, Cash Sellers, Cristin Laws, Christal Goins, Darrell Laws Jr. (DJ), Bridgett Michelle Hicks, John Samuel Aldridge IV and Steven Carol Love.
