He is survived by: his wife Fran Hardin; his children, Chuck Hardin (Cameron) and Amy Hardin Ortins (Rob); his grandchildren, Charles Hardin, Ross Hardin, Anna Hardin, Sarah Beth Hardin, Thomas Ortins and Ben Ortins; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth "Bitsy" and Patrick Hardin (Julia).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center, or charity of your choice.
