As Janette departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Janette. Though Janette may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband John G. Newton; her son John G. Newton Jr.; and her sister Eleanor Sue Simpson. She is survived by: her daughter Lane Newton; her granddaughter Tracey Stith (Phillip); her great grandchildren, Jackson and Abby Stith; and her niece Sue Ellen Williams.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Big Oak Ranch.
