It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Brannon (Tuscaloosa, Alabama), who passed away on September 10, 2019, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nell Golightly (Laycock) and John Frederick Golightly; her daughter Jennett Sims Brannon (Jenny); her siblings, Christina Golightly, Melanie Golightly and David Golightly; her brother-in-law Thomas Neal Brannon; and her father-in-law Dr. Edwin Simpson Brannon, Jr..

She is survived by: her pets, Tater, Louie, Shy and Mimi; her husband Edwin S. Brannon III; her daughter Julie Chisolm (John); her siblings, Diana Kuchera of Mission Viejo, CA and William Golightly of Winston-Salem, NC; her nephew Robert I. Taylor; her great-niece Cayla Leigh Cameron; her sister-in-law Elizabeth Brannon (Beth); and her mother-in-law Elizabeth Jennett Brannon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Jinkie's memory be honored by donations to the West Alabama Humane Society.
