He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Marchant and Mary Marchant; his wife Marion Rebecca; and his daughter Tammy Rebecca Hall (Keel). He is survived by: his sons, Ricky Marchant (Lanelle) and Joe Marchant, Jr. (Shelley); his grandchildren, Kyle Hall, Nicholas Hall, Caroline Hall, Madalyn McDonald (Andrew), Emily Marchant, Daniel Marchant (Kimberly) and Julia Edmondson (Joseph); his great grandchildren, Emory Dalton, Mercy Saunders, Beatrice Hall, Ava, Penelope Marchant, Charlotte Daniel, Hadley, Sydney and Liam Edmondson; and his siblings, Josephine Funderburk, Rhetta May Adams, Margaret Thompson, Thelma Pitts and Herman Marchant. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel (1193 Bells Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
