He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Blackwell; his father Lewis Eugene Blackwell Sr.; and his siblings, Donald Larue Blackwell and Martha Ann Blackwell Pope. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Blackwell Guy; his children, Crystal Sue Blackwell Gregg (David) and Kenneth Gene Blackwell; and his sister Linda Anderson. He is also survived by 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 3 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be made to the American Legion Post #34.
