Otts, Jr. and William Oliver Otts (Martha); and her grandparents, Margaret "Maggie" Annette (Shirley), James Walter Davis of Gordo, Alabama, Eudora McQueen Somerville (McEachin) and Lelius McCrary Otts.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. Paul Donald Nelson; her children, Barbara Amanda Pugh (Mark) of Mountain Brook, Mark Christopher Nelson (Patricia) of Tuscaloosa and David Donald Nelson of Tuscaloosa; her grandchildren, Amanda E. Nelson, Rachel Somerville Guraya (Harman), James Nelson Pugh, Abby Gross (Michael), Ashley Brooke Nelson and Maddox Ivan Pugh; her great grandchild Adaline Marie Gross; her brother S. McEachin Otts (Carol); her sibling's children, Suzanne, Mary, Martha, Hilaree, Phillip and Brandon; and her cousin David Scott Hardenbergh, Jr. (Hermoine).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The First Baptist Church (Tuscaloosa) Foundation, the Church of one's choice, or The Community Foundation of West Alabama.
