We are sad to announce that on July 20, 2025, at the age of 82, Michael Terry Canty in Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Michael Terry is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Michael Terry's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Augustus Canty, III and Harriet Marie Hackett; and his son Michael Terry Canty, Jr. of Tuscaloosa. He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Canty Latham of Tuscaloosa. He is also survived by two sisters, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
